Crook Movie Cast & Crew Details: Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Neha Sharma, Arjan Bajwa Crook Movie Story: The movie was shot in Australia and is based around the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia during 2009. It is the story Jai (Emraan Hashmi). His father was a gangster who wanted to reform, but was killed by the cops. When Jai grows up, Joseph (Gulshan Grover), a friend of his father, sends him to Australia.Jai knows that if he can make Suhani fall in love with him, he could eventually attain permanent residency by marrying her. Emraan Hashmi doesn’t care if he doesn’t have morals. The world’s twisted, so why should I be straight, he rationalises and moves to Australia to make his millions, by hook or by crook. But he gets embroiled in the Indian-Aussie racial war and falls in love with Neha Sharma, a student activist who tries to bridge the cultural divide between the two communities. Will the self-confessed crook turn activist too? Crook Review: This movie deals with the racial attacks in Australia. Mohit Suri is the director of this movie. Emraan Hashmi and Neha Sharma played the lead roles in this film. Now, after the release, the movie is in controversy. The censor board asked the film producer, Mahesh Bhatt to edit some scenes in the film. But, the producer released with out editing any scenes. So, the movie was released with 'A' certificate. This controversial scene was shot in Australia with the actress, Stella Alan. The movie is based on the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia during 2009. The music was composed by Pritam. 22-year-old Pratibha, who joined HP Globalsoft in 2005 after her marriage, went missing on December 13, 2005 after leaving home for her night shift. Her body with her throat slit was found on the outskirts of the city a day later. Eighty witnesses have been examined in the case in the last five years. Shiva Kumar also sentenced the accused to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 10,000 fine for the charge of kidnapping under section 366 of the IPC, The driver Shiva Kumar was given another 10 years rigorous imprisonment for charge of rape under section 376 of the IPC and a fine of Rs 20,000 and in case of failure to do so one year additional RI. The 11th Fast Track Court (FTC) Judge B V Guddali spared him the noose but sentenced him to imprisonment for life till death for murder. Gowramma, the widowed mother of Pratibha, her only child, who had been demanding death for the driver said, “I am satisfied” with the judgement though she added her happiness was gone with the murder of her daughter. “I got relief and it should be a lesson to others who do this type of crime. For five years, I suffered and I have been wanting justice and at last, I got it,” she said. Pratibha’s husband Srinivas Shetty also expressed similar sentiments, saying, “Everyday the convict should remember the diabolic act he committed”. Dola Banerjee, Bombayala Devi, Deepika Kumari (Women Recurve team), India has won gold in women’s recurve team archery. India won their 15th gold medal in the Commonwealth Games (CWG 2010 Day 5) when the hosts women archers beat England in the final of the Recurve team competition. At the Yamuna Sports Complex the Indian team, comprising Dola Banerjee, Bombayala Devi and Deepika Kumari, beat England in the final. India Women Recurve team archery beat England 207-206 to clinch the gold. With Australia seemingly having taken an unassailable lead with 32 golds in their kitty, the race for finishing No. 2 in the Games has narrowed down to a three-horse race between second-placed India, No.3 England and No. 4 Canada. While India, dominating the shooting range and also doing well in disciplines like wrestling and weightlifting, had 14 gold going into the day’s events, England were two behind the hosts while Canada were one gold further adrift. India would once again depend on their shooters, who provided 50 per cent of their gold medals in the first four days, to help them stay ahead of England and Canada. In tennis, Somdev Devvarman and Sania Mirza would aim to reach the finals of the men’s and women’s singles events. Somdev and Rohan Bopanna are also set to play the men’s doubles semi finals along with the “Indian Express” duo Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi while Nirupama Sanjeev and Pooja Venkatesha would be striving to make the women’s doubles final. In table tennis, the Indian women are up against Singapore in the tie for the gold medal and the men are up against England for a spot in the final. Preliminary rounds of the individual events are to commence. In badminton India are up against Malaysia in the mixed team final to settle the gold and silver medals.
