The Carter Center's Tom Crick Discusses Improvements in Access to Justice

Watch the Live Webcast TUESDAY EVENING:
Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 7 to 8:30 p.m. (EST)

Tomorrow, The Carter Center will host the latest session of "Conversations at The Carter Center," a series of discussions on issues that help shape our world.

Join us for a Conversation led by Tom Crick, associate director of the Carter Center's Conflict Resolution Program.

Watch TUESDAY's Live Webcast: Justice for the Poor >>

The Carter Center is at the forefront of a growing international movement to find ways to deliver justice to the poor in places like Liberia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, so that all people, not just those who can afford it, can realize their full rights as citizens. Hear about new and innovative practices that are improving access to justice in impoverished and post-conflict countries.

Mr. Crick, who manages the Center's access to justice projects in Liberia will moderate a panel joined by Professor Pamela Scully, professor of women's studies and African studies at Emory University and chair of the Department of Women's Studies. Her recent research interests focus on the relevance of history and feminist theory to ensuring women's rights in post-conflict societies; and Stephen C. Lubkemann, associate professor of anthropology and international affairs at George Washington University's Elliot School of International Affairs.
